Forbes Feature: Applying Brené Brown’s Seven Elements of Trust to Your Business

Ask us who inspires us to push our creativity and provoke new thoughts, and we’ll ask you how much time you have. At ODEA, we admire brilliant people that dare us to look at the world and how we conduct business a little differently. One such person is Brené Brown. If you don’t know Brené, you should. She rose to fame after a TED talk on vulnerability and her decades of research on courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy has led to five best-selling books. In one of her most recent books “Braving The Wilderness,” Brené uses the word “Braving” as an acronym for defining and developing trust-filled relationships with everyone from kids to coworkers. Talk about inspiring!

ODEA President, Patty Rioux, took that inspiration for her recent submission to Forbes where she is a contributor and member of The Forbes Agency Council. She applied Brené’s acronym of “Braving” and her seven elements of trust to the business world, showing how we can all use those same traits and behaviors to build trust with customers and clients.
